Mugging

In recent year, mugging in the underground has become a buring problem. On account of the polluted towns, a great number of people are dependent on public transport. for that reaso they are used to going by tube most days of the week. In my opinion, the politicians should take this problem seriously. This is what happened to me one day when going to work: I was sitting in an overcrowded wagon. Suddenly two boys, about fifteen years old, began to attack a group of fellow passengers. there was no ticket collector in the wagon, so we were just watching the scene, Feeling soory for the people who were abused, but not knowing how to get rid of the bullies. Under the circumstances, there was very little we could do to solve the problem. It is a pity that people who rely on public transport, should risk being terrorized by hooligans on their daily journey to work. I knew I should have great confidence in the authorities. I am disappointed in them. They should not be suspected of negligence, and the public should have the right to look forward to going to work without being mugged by young criminals. The two youngsters actually seized the purse of an old lady sitting there quite helpless. For the sake of defenceless passengers, the authorities should try to solve this serious problem in the near future. They should not be suspected of ignoring the seriuous problem of mugging. I agree with those who demand that politicians give priority to this current issue.
